I'm a huge fan of your work, and what I find most appealing , next to your hand rendered imagery, is your amazing use of texture. Where/how do you create those things?
Answer: I’ve had this question asked a lot actually. I’ve actually learned through trial and error how to accomplish certain types of textures. It’s actually a little complicated, but I’ve gotten quick at it. It actually involves a lot of erasing once I ink, then some experimentation with scanner settings, then adjustments of the levels in Photoshop. My best advice is to just try different things until you find a method that works for you.
