On the select pieces of work you do that incorporate complex illustrations (the BKC seal, BKC anchor shirt, a lot of the casualty killers apparel, the skull on the glass, the wild cat with the comb in its mouth) are those found or drawn pieces? How much do you incorporate found items into your work?
Answer: The majority of those complex pieces you see were designed by my partner at Onetwentysix Design Studios, Matt Gorton. He used a collage technique using vintage found pieces and illustration. A small portion of those were hand drawn by me, but for the most part, those are all Matt. Check out his photography on his site as well, though it’s a bit out of date. He’s an amazing photographer, as well as designer, and works with me on CXXVI Clothing Co.
